Yes, we have reached the 7th day of our 30-day typing lessons. After learning the home, bottom, and top rows separately, today we bring it all together for a full alphabet typing. Today we will cover all the rows and practice moving the finger efficiently and smoothly. Today’s task is the very basic and fundamental task of typing.

It is very important to practice the touch typing method from the beginning. It moves us to the key locations to type confidently. This is the main objective of online typing practice. Because it will give you high speed and high accuracy.

The Goal: Total Keyboard Command

Earlier we learned and practiced all the rows separately. And today we will practice all together. Now our task is not partial; it is whole. So, we need to concentrate on all three rows of our mechanical typing keyboard.

Key Drills for Full Alphabet Fluency

To achieve total command of the three rows, our practice will include specific types of exercise and make the task

  • Vertical Finger Drills: We shall practice to get all fingers efficient and smooth control over the three rows.
  • Pangram-style Sentence: “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” In the pangram, you will get all the letters of the English alphabet. Our typing game has used a slightly modified version to match the pangram and extend it.

 Practice all letter workouts.

Today’s task is to use 10 fingers on the three rows, like the top, bottom, and home rows. And it has prepared for warm-up exercises that focus on vertical, cross-row movements. Then, we will move on to a diverse list of words made by taking letters from all rows, where full sentences can also be seen.

Tips for Full Letter Practice

  • Trust Your Anchor Keys: Always keep the index fingers of both hands lightly on the ‘F’ and ‘J’ keys. This is the first step of the golden rule of 10-finger placement. Because it will orient your finger and control moving other rows and keys with the proper finger.
  • Maintain a Smooth Rhythm: Focus on a steady, even tapping pace. Always avoid fast and false movements. Please note you are in the learning phase; accuracy matters more than speed. A smooth rhythm reduces errors and increases our overall WPM speed.

We hope that you are learning typing and enjoying it. Now you can take a typing test of 1 to 10 minutes.
