What is the Home Row and Why is it So Important?
So, what did you just practice? The home row is the most important concept in touch typing. Think of it as the “home base” for your fingers in a game. It’s the central position where your fingers always rest and return after the stroke keys. However, today we will not go to other key bars. After completing today’s, we will move to the other key bar, and then it will be very clear.

Simple Tips for This Lesson
- Keep Your Eyes on the Screen: This is the golden rule of touch typing. In the initial days, it will be slower, but once you get used to it, it will become faster and more accurate.
- Use Gentle Taps: Don’t press the keys hard. Use a light, quick tap. This saves energy and will help you type faster in the long run.
- Accuracy is Everything: Always focus only on hitting the correct keys. Speed will come later as a natural result of good accuracy.
