Where Are These Keys?

All three punctuation marks are on the right side of the keyboard. We type them with the little and ring finger of the right hand,

Comma (, ) and Period ( . )

  • Comma (,): Use your right middle finger. This mark is used to make a small pause or to separate items in a list.
  • Period (.): Use your right ring finger. It ends a sentence.

❓ Question Mark (?)

This one is new. You’ll need to use the Shift key with it.

  • Hold Left Shift with your left pinky
  • Then press the /? key with your right pinky

This follows the same “opposite hand” rule you learned in the previous lesson. It also helps your little finger get stronger in typing!

💪 Day 10 Practice Task: Use the Marks!

From where to start and what to practice today?

  1. Start by typing just commas, periods, and question marks.
  2. Next, try small phrases and lists with punctuation marks.
  3. Then move to short questions and full sentences. Example: “Hello, my name is John. What is your name?”

💡 Punctuation Tips

  • One Space Rule: After a period or question mark, type only one space.
  • Pause with the Comma: A comma is like taking a short breath. Let your typing feel that rhythm.
  • Pinky Strength: Your right pinky does a lot! Keep practicing with ‘/’, ‘?’, and ‘;’ to make it stronger.
